Haval H2, H6 given drive-away price cut
New deals designed to drive interest in Chinese SUVs.
Haval has trimmed the price of its H2 and H6 SUVs, lowering the cost of entry to $22,990 drive-away and $28,990 drive-away respectively.
In the case of the front-wheel drive H2 Premium Automatic, that represents a $1000 price cut on the regular drive-away price, which itself is well down on the $26,490 (before on-road costs) Haval was asking for when the car touched down in October 2015.
Only the entry-level H2 automatic has been given a price cut, though, meaning you'll still pay $25,990 drive-away for the H2 Luxury with front-wheel drive.
Although it has a stripper price, the H2 Premium isn't sparsely equipped. Two-tone paint, 18-inch alloy wheels, a sunroof, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, parking sensors, rear-view camera, keyless entry and start, along with auto headlights/wipers are all included. Power comes from a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine making 110kW and 210Nm, hooked up to a six-speed automatic transmission.
When it comes to the H6, Haval has dropped the Premium's drive-away price to $28,990. As with the smaller H2, that represents a $1000 saving on the regular starting price.
Power comes from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol producing 145kW and 315Nm, hooked up to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Blind-spot monitoring, keyless entry/start, parking sensors all around, a rear-view camera and dual-zone climate control are all standard fit on the entry-level H6.
At launch, the H6 was priced from $29,990 drive-away, or $31,990 before on-roads after an initial promotional period.
