2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC spied

Updated SUV spotted on public roads wearing new bumpers and lighting

The facelifted Mercedes-Benz GLC has been spied testing in Europe, giving us a better look at what to expect from the luxury SUV's mid-life refresh.

While there's quite a bit of body-coloured camouflage concealing the finer details of the front and rear treatments, we can see the updated GLC will get new LED light signatures at both ends, along with a new set of bumpers.

Trainspotters will also notice the revised tailpipe finishers (or fake exhaust tips, if you will), and a new shape for the front grille.

No images of the cabin were spied this time, but previous spy photos indicate the refreshed GLC will get the same interior upgrades as the related C-Class range, meaning a digital instrument cluster and 10.25-inch central infotainment display are on the way.

Other interior upgrades should include the company's new steering wheel design with integrated cruise controls, along with revised trim elements to keep the GLC fresh against newer rivals like the BMW X3 and Audi Q5.

Finally, a revised line-up of engines should round out the updates too, including mild-hybrid 'EQ Boost' units as per the new C-Class range.

In terms of timing, we're expecting the new GLC to make its debut either later this year or early next.
