2019 Renault Captur Coupe spied

Camouflaged prototype spied ahead of Moscow reveal

The rumoured Renault Captur Coupe has been spied during development testing, ahead of a reveal at the Moscow motor show in August.

While not officially confirmed by the French brand, the new SUV it teased this week ahead of the Russian event is widely believed to be a preview for a coupe-styled Captur small SUV – the two will be related in similar fashion to the BMW X4 and X6.

Such a model would be unique at the lower end of the market, with no real challengers – the BMW X2 would be the closest thing to a 'rival', though that starts around the $50,000 mark in Australia.

Overseas reports suggests the vehicle will be offered as both the Renault Captur Coupe and Dacia Duster Coupe depending on market.

Following its debut as a concept in Moscow, it's believed the production version will be revealed at the Paris motor show in October – which would mean it won't be just a Russian-market special.
