Jaguar I-Pace vs Tesla Model X drag race – video

Jaguar made headlines with an I-Pace vs Model X drag race when its new, all-electric SUV was revealed earlier this year.

The first mass-produced Jaguar electric vehicle comfortably accounted for the Tesla Model X 75D and 100D, but the P100D (you know, the really fast one) was a notable absentee.

Some notoriously pro-Tesla media called the video out, and said the I-Pace should have faced off with the range-topping Model X. To us, the fact an I-Pace will set you back from $120,000 before on-roads while a Model X P100D is worth around $250,000 before taxes is a pretty good reason for the omission...

Politics aside, the team at CarWow in the UK were clearly curious to see how the Jaguar would fare against the range-topping American SUV. The video you see below puts an I-Pace up against the Model X 100D and P100D in a range of challenges, to frame the Jag's performance alongside the Tesla range.
