The 2019 'G05' BMW X5 is a styling hit – at least, compared to its predecessor – according to our latest reader poll.
Although it adopts a typically evolutionary design, the new X5 is larger than the car it replaces, and significantly more advanced under the skin.
Up front, it runs with a much larger kidney grille than before, with more angular headlights and a chiselled jawline. The rear is a more significant departure from tradition, trading a kicked-up light signature for slimline tail-lights with a new LED signature.
According to 77 per cent of respondents, the new look is an improvement over the outgoing model, itself just four years old.
THIS WEEK'S POLL
In keeping with the all-BMW theme of last week, we're pitting the all-new 8 Series against its nearest rival, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe. Is the second-ever 8er a winner, or would you prefer the three-pointed star?
