McLaren ‘570LT’ to be revealed on June 28
New Sports Series flagship to get top-mounted exhaust pipes
The new McLaren Sports Series model, unofficially dubbed the '570LT', has been teased again ahead of its official reveal on June 28.
In a new image published by the British supercar specialist, we can see the new Sports Series flagship will get top-mounted exhaust pipes – a design feature that isn't part of its current range other than the limited-run Senna.
We've already seen a partial view of the new supercar's rear diffuser, which is rather pronounced, and also gives away that the new model is based on the Sports Series range – which currently includes the 540C, 570S and 570GT.
It's confirmed to have more power, less weight, optimised aerodynamics and "enhanced driver engagement" compared to the cars on which it's based, for a more track-focused drive. The new model is the fifth to be announced under the company's Track22 business plan.
Like the Senna, McLaren has confirmed this new model will be built in limited numbers – "limited to the few", to be precise.
McLaren Automotive has confirmed it will reveal the new car online, as well as its official name, on June 28 at 13:00 BST (10:00PM AEST), before attempting the Goodwood Hillclimb on July 12.
