Ferrari 599XX breaks 7-minute barrier around the ‘Ring
The Nürburgring lap time has become the ultimate benchmark for manufacturers around the globe, with brands like Dodge, Nissan and Porsche proving their worth on the Green Hell.
As though unamused by these antics, Ferrari has seemingly decided to put the bickering to an end by breaking the 7-minute barrier around the Nordschleife circuit with its track-focussed Ferrari 599XX.
With Ferrari test driver Raffaele De Simone behind the wheel, the Ferrari 599XX managed a scorching 6 minute, 58.16 second lap time - almost half a minute quicker than the Nissan GT-R.
