Sporting a large, fixed rear wing, bigger exhaust outlets and augmented diffuser, the CS model also features a re-designed rear bumper with air outlets on the sides. The front bumper is also new, slightly lower, with small wings at each side. We can also see larger, carbon ceramic brakes.
Over the next couple of years, Audi will have five variants of the R8 in production. In addition to the R8 Coupe, these will include V8- and V10-powered models, a convertible and a tuned variant - such as the one pictured.
It is expected the tuned variant will wear the CS (ClubSport) or GT moniker.
Except for the additional power, the CS model is also expected to have lost weight over its standard sibling. The extensive use of carbon fiber expected to shave off a few dozen kilos.
