Monochrome-themed special celebrates production record
Land Rover has launched the Discovery Sport Landmark Edition in the UK this week, celebrating the sales success of the top-selling Landie model in history, in addition to the brand's 70th anniversary.
Available in three colours – Narvik Black, Corris Grey and Yulong White – the Landmark Edition comes as standard with a Carpathian Grey roof, Graphite Atlas exterior accents, 19-inch 'Mantis' alloy wheels in gloss Dark Grey, Ebony grained leather trim and an Ebony headliner.
There's also dark grey aluminium trim inserts, a panoramic roof, Meridian sound system, and a heated steering wheel.
Power comes from the 'TD4' 2.0-litre Ingenium 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine, which generates 132kW of power and 430Nm of torque.
The Landmark Edition is priced from £40,400 (equiv. $70,800) in the UK, and is available to order now.
In 2017, the Discovery Sport shifted 126,078 units globally, making it the best-selling model line in the company's stable, also breaking the single-year sales figure for any Land Rover in the company's 70-year history.
Complementing the launch of the Landmark Edition is the announcement that all Discovery Sport powertrain options are now fitted with particulate filters to further reduce emissions.
Land Rover's local division has confirmed the Discovery Sport Landmark Edition will be coming to Australia as part of the 2019 range, with further details to be announced. Stay tuned.
