28 May 2017: Porsche 911 GT3 RS Lego crash test

While most 1:1 Porsche models haven't been officially crash tested, the ADAC – Germany's equivalent to NRMA or RACV – decided to perform a crash test on the Porsche 911 GT3 RS Lego Technic set.

All the action is captured in a three-minute video, and you won't be able to look away.



29 May 2013: Chrysler 300 SRT Core arrives for $56,000

Five years ago saw the Australian launch of the Chrysler 300 SRT Core, essentially a stripped-back version of the Hemi V8-powered sedan priced $10,000 cheaper than the 'standard' trim.

Look familiar? That's because it recently became the new face of the NSW Police Highway Patrol fleet along the BMW 5 Series



30 May 2011: Chevrolet Camaro 45th Anniversary Edition revealed

The year 2011 marked the 45th anniversary of Chevrolet's iconic Camaro muscle car. To celebrate, it created a commemorative special-edition version with unique exterior stripes, interior trims, and upgraded suspension for a more responsive chassis and improved handling.

It never came to Australia, but the 45th Anniversary Edition Camaro was available in both coupe and convertible body styles.



28 May 2010: Jaguar XKR Special Edition confirmed for Australia

The now-defunct Jaguar XK once served as the performance pinnacle of the British marque's line-up, and the supercharged XKR was beastly even by today's standards.

Celebrating 75 years of Jaguar, the XKR Special Edition landed in Australia priced from $272,000 in 2010 and was only available as a coupe finished in the Polaris White you see here.

With its 375kW/625Nm 5.0-litre supercharged V8, the XKR could sprint from 0-100km/h in just 4.8 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 280km/h.



29 May 2008: Top Gear Australia presenters announced

Remember Top Gear Australia? It's been exactly 10 years since the original cast was announced for the Aussie spinoff.

Charlie Cox, Warren Brown and Steve Pizzati were the inaugural presenters for the show, previously working as a motorsport commentator, cartoonist, and Porsche racing driver respectively.
