Peugeot offering seven-year warranty on SUVs, upgrades on hatches

Offer runs until the end of June

Peugeot is offering a seven-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty on its SUV models sold before the end of June, as part of a wider sales campaign.

The brand's 'delicious' deals campaign will upgrade 208 Active ($21,990 before on-roads) and 308 Active ($26,990 before on-roads) purchases to the Allure grade, representing $3000 and $5000 of extra value respectively.

In jumping from Active to Allure, the 208 gains satellite navigation, dual-zone climate control, auto headlights and wipers, a leather steering wheel and chrome exterior highlights.

On the 308 front, buyers will gain city self-parking functionality, blind-spot monitoring, leatherette and suede seats, keyless entry and folding mirrors, front parking sensors, LED headlights, an electronic parking brake and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Power in both cars still comes from a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, producing 96kW of power and 230Nm of torque in the 308 or 81kW and 205Nm in the 208. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission in both cases.

Although they won't get free upgrades like hatchback buyers, those keen on a 2008, 3008 or 5008 will be offered a seven-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty – with free roadside assistance, no less. The regular Peugeot warranty is a five-year, unlimited-kilometre setup.

Peugeot will offer the deals until June 30, or until stock runs out.
