The Porsche 718 Cayman GTS is the current flagship of the small coupe's range – at least until the rumoured GT4 track special arrives – but it's not what you'd call slow.
In a new video, AutoTopNL takes his new PDK-equipped Cayman GTS on the German Autobahn, hitting an indicated 294km/h in the process – if you don't want to watch all 18 minutes, fast forward to the 11-minute mark.
Power comes from a 2.5-litre turbocharged boxer engine, pumping out 269kW of power and 430Nm of torque, the latter available between 1900 and 5000rpm.
The manufacturer claims the hottest 718 Cayman can sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.1 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 290km/h.
In Australia, the 718 Cayman GTS is priced from $173,100 before on-road costs. If you'd prefer to do similar speeds with the roof down, there's the drop-top 718 Boxster GTS from $175,900 plus ORCs.
