Audi all-electric pair gets hitched before Lake Worthersee
New EVs headed to Volkswagen GTI Meet
Audi has released another teaser for its upcoming all-electric e-tron, this time in the form of a towing test with the e-tron Vision Gran Turismo.
Released ahead of the annual GTI Meet at Lake Worthersee, a celebration of all things performance in the world of Volkswagen Group, the images are designed to illustrate the practicality on offer in all-electric cars.
Previous teasers have revealed the e-tron will offer 150kW charging, allowing drivers to deal with the "next stage" of their journey in just half an hour. By year's-end, Audi says there will be almost 200 charge points throughout Europe capable of high-power charging (HPC), with a combined 1200 individual plugs.
Set for launch later this year, the 2019 model-year e-tron will offer more than 400km of range from its 95kWh battery.
The e-tron Vision Gran Turismo, on the other hand, is a pure flight of fancy. Although it exists in the real world, it'll feature in Gran Turismo Sport and serve as a high-speed taxi at Formula E events later this year.
Along with the electric Audi pair, Lake Worthersee will play host to a drop-top Skoda Karoq and the Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR.
