Poll: Volkswagen Tiguan topples Skoda Karoq

And it's an all-British battle this week

The two competitors might share a base architecture, but the Volkswagen Tiguan has won favour over the Skoda Karoq in our latest poll.

Last week, we confirmed the Skoda Karoq's local arrival has advanced from September to June, after anticipated delays proved a non-issue. The range will start with the front-wheel drive 110TSI, set to kick off from around $30,000.

Diesel and all-wheel drive variants will arrive in the first half of 2019. Standard equipment, meanwhile, will include smartphone mirroring and autonomous emergency braking, while a digital instrument display and VarioFlex rear seats will be offered as options.

Regardless of specification, it couldn't topple the Tiguan in our poll, with 60 per cent of voters favouring the Volkswagen.

THIS WEEK'S POLL

What flavour of British GT would you prefer: Bentley Continental GT or Aston Martin DB11? The Bentley will be priced from $422,600 when it touches down later this year.
