2018 Ram 2500 recalled

American Special Vehicles has issued a recall notice for the 2018 Ram 2500, over concerns about the Trailer Brake Module on cars with a 12-pin trailer plug.

According to the import company, some MY18 trucks with the 12-pin plug may have the incorrect software installed, rendering the tail-lights on attached trailers inoperative. This, obviously, poses a heightened accident risk.

Just 33 vehicles are caught up in the campaign – a VIN list is attached here.

Affected owners will be contacted by mail, and will be told to contact their nearest dealer for a free fix. Concerned owners can call 1800 649 607 for more information.
