2018 BMW 620d Gran Turismo revealed

BMW this week unveiled a new entry point to the 6 Series Gran Turismo range, in the form of a small diesel engine. With a four-cylinder turbo-diesel making 140kW of power and 400Nm of torque it'll still hit 100km/h in less than eight seconds, all the while sipping 4.8L/100km.


2018 Mercedes-Benz GLC200 arrives from $61,990

Mercedes has killed the GLC220d, instead deciding to start its mid-size SUV range with the GLC200. Power comes from a four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine making 135kW and 300Nm – and power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels.


2018 Mazda CX-5 pricing and specs

It's only been on sale since March 2017, but the second-generation Mazda CX-5 has been treated to a few choice upgrades. Along with minor cabin improvements, there's a revised diesel engine now making 140kW and 450Nm, the latter from just 2000rpm.


2018 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid unveiled

A plug-in hybrid has been added to the third-generation Cayenne line-up, complete with 340kW of power and 700Nm of torque. It'll cover 44km in electric mode on a full charge, and hits 100km/h in 5.0 seconds.


2018 Mini Hatch, Convertible pricing and specs

The third-generation Mini (well, you know, new Mini) has been given a mid-life refresh. Along with a dual-clutch transmission for Cooper and Cooper S buyers, the changes include more tech inside and Union Jack tail-lights. It's the little things, right?


2019 Toyota Corolla: Australian details

The sharper, more dynamic new Corolla will be here in August – but before then, Toyota has released some preliminary specs. The highlight is safety, with an array of semi-autonomous driver aids to be standard range-wide.


ANCAP: Deputy PM announces $6.64 million funding plan

Five more years of funding was announced for ANCAP this week, with Deputy PM Michael McCormack making an announcement in Canberra.
