Nissan Venucia X concept unveiled

Handsome crossover debuts with few details

The Venucia X concept has been unveiled by Nissan and its Chinese partner Dongfeng at the 2018 Beijing motor show.

Aside from these three images, we know very little about the X concept and the likely production vehicle it previews, as neither Nissan nor Dongfeng have revealed much about the vehicle.

We do know the Venucia X previews the brand's "new, advanced design language". Although no photos have been issued of the cabin, Nissan reassures us it is "highly innovative and futuristic".

In the image above, we can see the crossover features three rows of seats.

Venucia sells a number of models in China including the D60 sedan, M50V people mover, T90 crossover "coupe", T70 crossover, and the E30, a rebadged first-generation Nissan Leaf.

If the X concept does translate faithfully into a production model, it might mean a new, slightly more upmarket positioning for the China-only brand. Since its launch 2012, Venucia has been positioned a little down the food chain from Nissan.
