2019 BMW 8 Series Convertible spied again
New drop-top loses its roof in latest images
The BMW 8 Series Convertible has been spied again, this time doing what convertibles do best – driving with the roof down.
Interestingly, this prototype is more camouflaged than the drop-top we saw a couple of weeks ago, namely thanks to the hidden intakes on the front bumper.
The vehicle pictured is also wearing mismatched alloy wheels, though the blue brake calipers suggest this is an M Sport or M Performance variant of the upcoming cabriolet.
Thanks to the removal of the roof, we can see the 8 Series's second-row headrests and wind deflector, along with the vehicle's side profile with the roof down.
We'll let you share your opinions in the comments section below, but we reckon it's going to be quite the looker.
Our spy photographers also managed to snap some images of the interior (below) showing a heavily disguised dashboard and centre stack design, debuting a new direction for the Bavarian marque.
The rest is covered in grey sheeting, but we have got a glimpse of the new flagship's exterior and interior undisguised previously – you can see those photos here.
It's believed the BMW 8 Series will be officially revealed sometime later this year, complete with a range of turbocharged six-, eight- and possibly 12-cylinder engines.
Both coupe and convertible versions will be offered, along with a hi-performance M8 performance hero.
A reveal date hasn't been officially announced, but we have a hunch BMW's new flagship will be revealed at the Paris motor show in October, ahead of a market launch in late-2018 or early-2019.
