2013-14 Subaru Forester manual diesel recalled

1876 SUVs caught up in campaign

Subaru Australia has recalled 2013-2014 Foresters with a diesel engine and manual transmission, over concerns a wiring loom could rub against the clutch pipe, causing a short circuit.

According to the company, if the wiring loom insulation wears out, there's a risk of the engine stalling and not restarting. If the condition occurs, it increases the risk of an accident.

A total of 1876 vehicles are caught in the recall – a VIN list is attached here.

Subaru will contact owners of the affected vehicles by mail, and tell them to contact their nearest dealer for a fix.

Concerned owners can call 1300 550 994 for more information.
