2014-17 Audi A4, A5 recalled for trim fix
1398 vehicles fitted with optional sound systems affected
Audi Australia has issued a recall for A4 and A5 models built between October 2014 and October 2017 fitted with the optional Bang & Olufsen sound system, over concerns some interior trim pieces could come loose.
The German marque reports the A4 sedan, Avant and Allroad along with A5 Sportbacks with the cost-option audio system could be fitted with faulty aluminium strips in the loudspeaker of the front and rear doors.
If the condition occurs, the ends of the aluminium trim strips could com loose and protrude, which could cause cuts and "other injuries" to occupants from the sharp edges.
A total of 1398 vehicles are affected by this recall – the VIN list can be viewed here.
Owners will be contacted by Audi Australia, and are advised to contact their nearest dealer to arrange the inspection and repair of their vehicle.
