Vision Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury teased again
Interior of upcoming luxe concept sketched
The Vision Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury has been teased again this week, ahead of its reveal at the Beijing motor show.
Following the teaser video posted on social media earlier this week, the German marque has released a designer sketch of the new concept's cabin, showing a simple, yet elegant cockpit with a futuristic design and a large dual-screen instrument cluster and infotainment system.
In terms of the colour scheme, the seats and lower section of the cabin is finished in white, while upper sections have a brown theme which also incorporates a large section of wood trim in the front doors.
The vents flanking each side of the dual-screen setup, buttons on the centre console, and highlights on the steering wheel appear to be finished in rose gold, something becoming increasingly popular in the Chinese market.
We're still yet to hear what form this concept will take – as in whether it will be a conventional limousine or a high-riding crossover – though rumours suggest the Ultimate Luxury concept could preview the mooted Maybach version of the next-gen GLS SUV, likely to hit the market next year.
Such a model will go toe-to-toe with high-end SUVs like the Bentley Bentayga and Range Rover, along with top-spec versions of the upcoming BMW X7.
With the Vision Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury to be revealed in Beijing in the coming weeks, it's expected the production version will be revealed later this year or early next.
