Poll: 2019 Toyota RAV4 takes down Forester
Plus, Golf or Focus? Which semi-premium hatch are you into?
After being launched side-by-side at the New York motor show last month, the Toyota RAV4 and Subaru Forester faced off in our latest poll.
The result? A complete walkover for the rugged new Toyota, with 70 per cent of respondents preferring it over the all-new (but similarly-styled) Subaru.
Inspired by the FT-AC concept, the new RAV4 is chunkier and tougher than before on the outside. It'll be powered by two of Toyota's new Dynamic Force engines in the USA: a 2.5-litre petrol with an eight-speed automatic, or a 2.5-litre hybrid.
European buyers will be getting a 2.0-litre four-cylinder in place of the 2.5-litre petrol.
A firm launch date hasn't been laid out for the new RAV4 locally, but it'll be here at some point in 2019.

THIS WEEK'S POLL
There's a new Ford Focus, finally. The Blue Oval has stopped the teasing and unveiled the fourth-generation of its popular nameplate, complete with European-inspired styling and a more upmarket interior.
Would you go for the Focus, or do you prefer the Volkswagen Golf?
