Trent checks out the plush plug-in Rangie
Range Rover is known for cars capable of wafting around in blissful silence, but the idea of a plug-in hybrid model still seems a bit strange.
How does the technology, which is rolling out in luxury cars the world over, stack up in a Rangie, on- and off-road? Trent Nikolic took a trip to sunny England and spent some time in the Range Rover Vogue Si4 PHEV to find out.
After being a bit dubious about the car's off-road chops, not to mention the fact the Vogue Si4 PHEV draws petrol power from a four-cylinder engine, Trent was given the chance to put it through its paces – on the grounds of a castle, no less.
With 297kW and 640Nm on tap, channeled to all four wheels through an eight-speed ZF automatic, it's certainly not lacking in grunt.
