Lamborghini Aventador SV Jota spied again
Big Bull takes on the Nurburgring
The hottest Lamborghini Aventador, the SV Jota, has been snapped lapping the Nurburgring in two different camouflage patterns.
This is the second time the SV-J has been spied in public this week, after CarAdvice snagged a first glimpse of the last year. We dubbed it 'Performante' back then, but industry scuttlebutt has since suggested the Jota name will be used.
Lamborghini is clearly confident in the car, given that badge has been in hibernation since it was originally applied to the hottest Miuras, and subsequently used to signify the meanest Diablos. Just five Miura J and around 30 Diablo J models were built, but we'd bank on more rolling out of Sant Agata this time around.
Along with the coupe pictured here, a roadster is expected to be offered as well. Power will come from a V12, that's almost certain, but how much power it'll make remains a mystery. Reports have suggested somewhere around 800hp (597kW) will be about right, but we'll have to wait and see.
The noses of the cars pictured here are home to a more aggressive splitter, with what appears to be a second element added to the middle. There are ground-hugging side skirts, and a rear diffuser treatment similar to that of the Huracan Performante.
There are also high-mounted exhaust pipes and a monstrous rear wing, complete with a central support to help the slim outboard arms. Stir in a set of centre-lock wheels, add a dash of CarAdvice orange to the camouflage and the end result is one mean-looking bull.
Logic would suggest the hottest Aventador will borrow the Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA) active-aero system debuted in the Huracan Performante. Given it's the raging-est Bull, it stands to reason the SV Jota will be quicker around a track than its (already fast) little brother.
We'd suggest you'll see the car debut during towards the end of 2018.
