Pagani Huayra: Final coupe to be delivered in June

100th hypercar headed to the US

The Pagani Huayra may have just been made available for the Australian market in Roadster form, but the coupe is now at the end of its production run.

Dubbed "Il Ultimo" – meaning 'the last' in Italian – the final Huayra coupe has been built for the CEO of Prestige Imports in the US, Brett David.

To honour the Huayra's German engine, sourced from Mercedes-AMG, coupe 100 out of 100 will be finished in a similar colour scheme to Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes F1 race car.

With a grey body, turquoise aqua accents and contrasting carbon-fibre elements, Il Ultimo is quite the eye-catching hypercar. Add to that the pinstriped alloy wheels and fixed rear wing, it almost looks like a race car itself.

Inside, the turquoise on grey colour scheme continues, contrasted with white leather for the seats.

Like the previous 99 examples of the Pagani Huayra, Il Ultimo features a mid-mounted 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 supplied by Mercedes-AMG, developing 536kW of power at 5800rpm, and 1000Nm of torque from 2600rpm to 4200rpm. All that grunt is sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed robotised sequential transmission.

The Il Ultimo Huayra will be delivered in June, seven years since the coupe was first revealed in 2011.

Don't fret, though, if you have the cash for one of these ultra-exclusive Italian hypercars, you can nab one of "just a few" Huayra Roadsters bound for Australia, priced from a whopping $5.5 million before on-road costs at Zagame Automotive in Richmond, Victoria.
