The upcoming BMW X7 has been snapped inside and out, giving us a better peek at the upcoming SUV flagship.
Compared to previous teasers, you'll notice the lights and wheels look production ready, with detailed LED signatures under the zebra-themed stickers. Whether you like it or not, the massive kidney grille that sparked so much conversation on the concept appears bound for production as well.
It's certainly distinctive, and you aren't going to miss it – that's for sure.
Moving to the cabin, you'll notice a fully-digital instrument binnacle and a sleeker centre console than currently offered on the X5 and 7 Series. Although the image shows a 7 Series in the cluster, this is definitely an X7, it's just a pre-production model.
The climate controls have been moved from the lower dashboard to a space between the air vents. The console is still angled toward the driver, and you still have a stubby little gear lever and the rotary iDrive controller on the transmission tunnel.
Given it's going to sit atop the BMW SUV range, reports have suggested a range of turbocharged six- and eight-cylinder petrols and diesels will be offered, along with a plug-in hybrid and potentially a V12.
The car will be built at the BMW plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina, likely to commence later this year. Stay tuned for all the latest X7 updates over the coming months.
