2019 Hyundai Grand Santa Fe spied

Flagship SUV spotted again

Hyundai's upcoming full-size SUV replacement for the Grand Santa Fe offered overseas has been spied again, ahead of a likely reveal in the next 18 months.

Believed to be a twin-under-the-skin to the production Kia Telluride three-row SUV, the full-size Hyundai crossover will sit above the new Santa Fe in the company's global line-up and likely target the North American market.

Where the Santa Fe is offered with up to seven seats, it's believed this new flagship SUV will feature up to eight pews in its larger cabin, with room for adults in the third row.

Power is expected to come from a V6 petrol engine, with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions to be offered.

According to our sources, the new Hyundai SUV flagship will also get a standalone badge, rather than just be named the Grand Santa Fe or Santa Fe XL.

Hyundai has already confirmed a full-size SUV to sit above the standard Santa Fe before 2020, so expect the market version to debut sans the heavy camouflage sometime between now and the end of 2019.
