McLaren 720S v Kawasaki Ninja H2 – Video

British supercar takes on modified superbike in rolling drag race

The McLaren 720S is one of the fastest cars on sale at the moment, but what happens when you square a supercar up against a superbike in a rolling drag race?

Well, that's what YouTuber Do It With Dan decided to find out when he came across a matte-black-wrapped example of McLaren's second-gen Super Series model riding his modified Kawasaki Ninja H2 in America.

Power in the 720S comes from a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 making a meaty 527kW of power and 770Nm of torque sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.

The Kawasaki, meanwhile, features a supercharged 998cc inline four generating 200hp (149kW) in standard guise. Do It With Dan's bike has been tuned to make 250hp (186kW) at high speeds thanks to a ram intake modification.

Now, the rolling drag race does take place on a public road – we do not condone street racing in any form – but if you fast forward to about 3:50 of the six-minute clip, you can watch the highway duel which ends with an interesting result.
