2019 Infiniti QX60 Limited, QX80 Limited revealed

An extra dash of luxe for premium SUV pair

Infiniti has unveiled the QX60 Limited and QX80 Limited ahead of the New York motor show this week, which are essentially high-end takes on its popular SUV models.

Both models include exclusive appointments compared to their lesser variants, including exterior cosmetics and interior trim elements.

QX60 Limited

We don't get it here, but the QX60 is one of the company's top-selling crossover models in the American market, thanks to its spacious and versatile three-row cabin.

With the Limited, Infiniti wanted to attract an "entirely new group of buyers" to the QX60 range – which, if you haven't guessed already, is based on the Nissan Pathfinder.

Key changes for the flagship variant externally include dark chrome elements for the front grille, fog-light trims and door models. The roof rails and cross bars are also finished in a dark 'premium paint', while the rear bumper gets a unique lower treatment with gloss-black paint finish.

Filling the arches are exclusive 20-inch dark alloy wheels shod in 235/55R all-season tyres, completing the exterior enhancements.

Inside there's quilted semi-aniline leather seats for all three rows, quilted leather door panels, contrast stitching and piping, leather-wrapped steering wheel centre cap, unique floor mats and a cargo mat with metal logo. There's also 'dark silver' wood accents, along with a black headliner and pillar trims.

The QX60 Limited's exclusive features are in addition to the safety technology suite available across the range, including adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection for drive and 'Backup Collision Intervention' for reverse.

Under the bonnet is the same 220kW 3.5-litre V6 as the wider QX60 line-up.

QX80 Limited

Like its smaller sibling, the QX80 Limited takes the company's Nissan Patrol-based off-roader a little more upmarket with unique exterior and interior appointments.

New 22-inch alloys in dark-machined finish fill the arches, while stainless steel running boards with rubber grips adorn the sides. There's also satin chrome exterior accents, roof rails and cross bars, along with unique front and rear lower bumper treatments compared to its standard counterpart.

Five colours are offered, including the Anthracite Grey pictured which is exclusive to the Limited variant.

In the cabin, there's new two-tone semi-aniline leather/Alcantara seat rim with quilting, contrasting piping and stitching, new smooth-leather steering wheel and shift knob, matte-silver open-pore Ash wood trim, black Ultrasuede headliner and pillars. leather-wrapped grab handles, satin-chrome interior door handle trim, premium floor mats, and a cargo mat with metal logo.

Other features include 'Infiniti' illuminated sill plates, and 'Limited' lettering inlay on the centre console.

The QX80 Limited comes as standard with the company's driver assistance suite which includes autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot assist, and Backup Collision Intervention.

Power comes from a carryover 5.6-litre V8 making 298kW, sending drive to all four wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission.

Infiniti's local division has confirmed that both the QX60 Limited and QX80 Limited are for the North American market only.
