Brabham BT62 teased – VIDEO

Another shadowy V8 preview

Brabham Automotive is gearing up to launch of its V8 BT62 supercar, with another teaser surfacing online over the weekend.

Having given us a snippet of engine noise, the company has posted a video of the car flying past a pit wall. Once again, it's hard to garner any details about the car from the video, barring the fact it still sounds mean.

The video was "captured during high-speed dynamic testing", and is accompanied by a caption arguing the BT62 "has been built to set blistering lap times and reward the limited few who will rise to its challenge".

We'll have to wait another 38 days for that car's full reveal.

At the brand's relaunch, David Brabham, son of Sir Jack Brabham, said the "launch heralds the start of a new chapter in the story of a family synonymous with success". The nameplate has been in the wilderness for over 25 years.

“Drawing on vast experience from four decades of competing at all levels of global motorsport, David Brabham has combined his skill, passion and enthusiasm to guide this project ahead of its unveiling,” the launch release confidently stated.

At launch, there was talk of an F1 return from Brabham, but there's still no word on whether the startup will be joining the grid. The ever-churning motorsports rumour mill suggested the brand could take over from Force India, but no further news has surfaced.
