2019 Hyundai Tucson heading to New York
Yet another mid-size SUV to debut in the Big Apple
The facelifted Hyundai Tucson has been confirmed for a debut at the New York motor show week.
Hyundai's North American arm has posted a placeholder for its live feed, captioned "New 2019 Santa Fe, refreshed Tucson & Kona Electric at the New York International Auto Show".
It's no secret that the Korean manufacturer has been planning a mid-life facelift for its popular mid-size crossover – it's already been confirmed for Australia by the end of the year.
At this stage, we know the 2019 Tucson will get refreshed styling – inspired by the two-tier face worn by the Santa Fe and Kona – updated infotainment systems and Hyundai's latest driver-assistance technologies, the latter likely to be more widely available across the range as well.
It's unknown whether the company will introduce new or updated powertrains, though it's likely that versions of the current four-cylinder petrol and diesel options will carry over.
The refreshed Hyundai Tucson is scheduled to be revealed on March 28, stay tuned for our coverage.
