Raging Bull's first SUV to land in Q4 from $390,000
Local details for the Lamborghini Urus have been announced this week, with the new SUV to be priced from $390,000 before on-road costs in Australia.
Key specifications include the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 living under the bonnet, developing a healthy 478kW of power and 850Nm of torque.
All that grunt is channeled through an all-wheel drive system with active torque vectoring via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Lamborghini claims the Urus can sprint from 0-100km/h in 3.6 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 305km/h. Additionally, the company says 0-200km/h takes 12.8 seconds.
In terms of standard equipment, the Urus comes with rear-wheel steering, the 'Tamburo' drive mode selector with four standard options – Strada (street), Sport, Corsa (track) and Neve (snow) – with the option of two additional off-road settings, active roll stabilisation, adaptive dampers, LED headlights, a TFT digital driver's display, and a dual-screen infotainment setup similar to the system in the new Audi A8.
There's also an eight-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, bluetooth phone and audio streaming, USB input, DVD player, autonomous emergency braking, high beam assist, along with front and rear parking sensors.
Front occupants are treated to 12-way power-adjustable seats with heating and memory, while the cabin is trimmed in single-tone leather as standard. Behind the rear seats is a 616-litre luggage area, which expands to 1596L with the second row folded.
Alloy wheels ranging from 21- to 23 inches are also offered, with carbon-ceramic brakes fitted as standard – measuring 440x40mm up front and 370x30mm at the rear.
Buyers can choose from an array of options, including exterior paints, interior colours and finishes, additional driver-assist tech like a 360-degree camera system, along with a gesture-operated tailgate – though an electric one is standard fit.
Lamborghini has confirmed first deliveries of the Urus will arrive in Australia during the fourth quarter of 2018, with pricing kicking off at $390,000 before on-road costs (GST and LCT included).
