The Megane RS275 Trophy R-Spec once held the quickest front-wheel drive lap for production vehicles at the Nurburgring, featuring a 201kW/360Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine.

In 2015 the flagship go-fast Megane was priced from $61,990 before on-road costs, with local allocation limited to just 50 units.
