Subaru WRX STI teased with classic rally wing

Following the unveiling of the new wide body 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX, Subaru has given us a sneak peek of the new flagship STI version.

Captioned simply with the phrase "The wing is back!", the accompanying teaser shot shows a sheet draped over the STI with an obvious silhouette of the trademark rally-style wing at the rear.

Unfortunately it seems reports of a coupe version have now been all but quashed, with the sedan fitting into the shape of the covered STI exactly.

The official unveiling of the new generation Subaru Impreza WRX STI will take place the New York International Auto Show on April 1, 2010.
