2019 Kia Stinger GT Atlantica revealed

Limited-edition liftback bound for the US

The 2019 Kia Stinger GT Atlantica has been revealed for the US market, sporting numerous unique appointments to commemorate the trans-Atlantic collaboration between the company's American and European divisions on the vehicle's development.

Limited to 500 units, the Stinger GT Atlantica debuts several features for the US market including unique Deep Chroma Blue metallic paint, 19-inch alloy wheels (seen in Australia on 330Si and 200 GT-Line variants), Espresso Brown nappa leather upholstery, and special 'Stinger' badging at the rear like the Korean-market version.

It's based on the American 'GT2' all-wheel drive specification, adding a 360-degree camera system, wireless phone charging and heated rear outboard seats.

The special-edition liftback also gets three 'Stinger Atlantica' badges on the front centre console and front fenders.

Pricing is yet to be determined for the US market, though the GT Atlantica has been confirmed for sale in the North American summer.

Australia

Kia's local division has ruled out the GT Atlantica for our market – being a US special – and couldn't offer further comments on potential limited-editions for the Stinger in Australia.

Earlier this year the company launched the Rafa Signature Edition, based on the entry-level 200S, sporting similar 19-inch wheels and a brown leather interior like the GT Atlantica, along with a Spanish flag decal complete with tennis star Rafael Nadal's signature – hence the name.
