McLaren 720S Atlantic Blue by MSO revealed
Bespoke specification celebrates one year of second-gen supercar
McLaren Special Operations (MSO), bespoke division of McLaren Automotive, has revealed its latest creation – the 720S Atlantic Blue.
The 720S Atlantic Blue by MSO celebrates a year since the second-generation of McLaren's Super Series made its world premiere at the 2017 Geneva motor show, featuring several unique appointments for a powerful yet luxurious look and feel.
Key highlights include the Atlantic Blue paint – a special MSO finish – along with a Saddle Tan leather interior, in addition to carbon-fibre accents inside and out.
The interior is contrasted with Slate Grey topstitching, along with Carbon Black leather and grey Alcantara details. Even the floor mats have been specially-designed for this 720S.
Meanwhile, there's a stainless steel sports exhaust with titanium finishers, a unique Graphite Grey finish for the twin-spoke alloy wheels, and the carbon-ceramic brakes feature black calipers with McLaren branding.
Behind the passenger cell is the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 as the 'regular' 720S, putting out 527kW of power and 770Nm of torque, sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The McLaren 720S Atlantic Blue by MSO wears a price tag of £281,260 ($500,291). We'd expect a similar build would cost a bit more in Australia, considering the 720S's $489,900 starting price Down Under.
