Special coupe, cabriolet debut in Geneva
UPDATE (8/3): Mercedes-Benz Australia has confirmed there are no plans to bring the S-Class Exclusive Editions to Australia at this stage.
Mercedes-Benz has revealed the S-Class Exclusive Edition in both Coupe and Cabriolet forms at the Geneva motor show.
With European sales commencing in April, the Exclusive Edition can be added to "almost any engine variant", and carries a slew of unique appointments to make the already-exclusive flagship Benz that bit more special.
Key enhancements include an LED intelligent headlight system with Swarovski crystals, 'Exclusive Edition' lettering on the centre console cup holder cover, 19-inch multi-twin-spoke alloy wheels that can be optioned in aragonite silver or himalaya grey/thulium silver, along with a choice of two paint finishes – aragonite silver (pictured) or rubellite red.
Inside, there's a special light brown high-gloss sen – an "Asian hardwood", apparently – Burmester surround sound, and the Exclusive package, which includes nappa leather in porcelain/titian red or porcelain/espresso brown with contrasting top-stitching and piping, diamond-patterned upholstery and perforation, extended nappa leather upholstery for the armrests and door inserts, along with a microfibre headliner and visors.
There are also special floor mats with titian red or porcelain edges, illuminated 'Mercedes-Benz' door sill lettering, and seat-back pockets trimmed in nappa leather, too.
While the company says both versions of the Exclusive Edition are available with most engine variants, the pictured example is shown in S560 specification – meaning a 375kW/700Nm 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 lives under the bonnet.
