Jeep Grand Commander interior revealed

China-only SUV flagship to get plush cabin

The Jeep Grand Commander has now been fully revealed, with the release of pictures detailing the Chinese-market SUV's interior this week.

The Grand Commander's two-tone interior looks rather luxurious, with plenty of leather surfaces and wooden-look accents.

Up front, there's a large Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, along with a wood-accented leather steering wheel.

Three rows of seating mean the Grand Commander should be able to accommodate seven in relative comfort, with room for a suitcase or two in the boot.

Powering the big Jeep will be a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive system.

Despite being the first three-row Jeep model since the boxy Commander of a decade ago, the Grand Commander will be a China-only proposition.

Those wanting a Jeep larger than the Grand Cherokee will likely have to wait for the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer – which are scheduled to commence production by 2020.
