Alfa Romeo specials heading to Geneva

4C, Giulia, Stelvio get sporty touch ups

Alfa Romeo has revealed a slew of special-edition models for the Geneva motor show, based on the 4C, Giulia and Stelvio.

There's quite a bit to cover – here's a look at each model.

Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio NRING

Headlining the Alfa Romeo stand at the Geneva motor show are the matte-grey Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio NRING specials, celebrating each model's record lap around the iconic German race track.

The Giulia Quadrifoglio broke the record for the fastest four-door production sedan when it was released (7 minutes 32 seconds), while the Stelvio is the current record holder for the fastest SUV around the 'Green Hell' (7 minutes 51.7 seconds).

Both NRING editions are fitted with the same Ferrari-developed 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6, developing 375kW of power and 600Nm of torque, though the Giulia is exclusively rear-wheel drive and the Stelvio all-wheel drive.

Just 108 examples of each special edition will be produced – commemorating Alfa Romeo's 108-year history – featuring unique appointments like carbon-ceramic brakes, Sparco racing seats with carbon shells and red stitching, the exclusive Circuito Grey exterior paint, a Mopar gear shift with carbon insert, along with an Alcantara steering wheel with carbon-fibre inserts.

The Giulia Quadrifoglio NRING also debuts a new bare carbon-fibre roof – think BMW M3 CSL – while both specials get carpet mats with red logos from Mopar.

Giulia Veloce Ti

Also making its debut at the Geneva event is the new Giulia Veloce Ti – reviving the company's long-running 'Turismo Internazionale' badge.

Under the bonnet is a 280hp (209kW) turbocharged petrol engine, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and Q4 all-wheel drive.

On display in Racing Red, the Veloce Ti gets unique features like a 19-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, red brake calipers, carbon-fibre interior accents, black headliner, leather dashboard trim, leather/Alcantara seats, along with carbon-fibre side skirts, mirror caps and lip spoiler.

4C Competizione

Finished in matte Vesuvio Grey, the 4C Competizione is based on the coupe, also sporting a special stripe package – that can be deselected if desired.

Unique appointments include carbon-fibre details for the roof, rear spoiler, mirror caps, side air vents and headlight mouldings, along with dark finish 18-inch front and 19-inch rear alloy wheels, red brake calipers and a bi-modal Akrapovic titanium exhaust system with centre-mounted and carbon-fibre-trimmed twin tailpipes – normally the 4C gets outboard dual tailpipe outlets.

Inside, the 4C Competizione gets leather/microfibre seat trim with red stitching, a racing steering wheel, a numbered badge on the central tunnel and an aluminium 'Competizione' plaque on the dashboard.

As before, the coupe is powered by the company's 1.75-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, developing 177kW of power and 350Nm of torque, allowing for a 4.5-second 0-100km/h sprint and 258km/h top speed.

Just 108 examples of the 4C Competizione will be produced, celebrating the company's 108-year history.

4C Spider Italia

Finally, there's the 4C Spider Italia, also limited to 108 units. Finished in this beautiful and exclusive Misano Blue exterior paint, the 4C Italia is also distinguished by its yellow-painted brake calipers and 18-inch front and 19-inch rear five-spoke alloy wheels.

Exclusive 'Spider Italia' stickers adorn the sides, while the same Akrapovic titanium exhaust with central carbon-fibre tailpipe finishers as the Competizione is fitted too.

Other special equipment includes an Alpine premium audio system with subwoofer, numbered badge on the centre tunnel and an aluminium 'Italia' dashboard plaque.

The Spider Italia gets the same 1.75-litre turbo four as the coupe, with the only difference in terms of performance being the claimed 257km/h top speed (1km/h lower than the coupe).
