Alpine A110 Legende and Pure headed for Geneva

Stripped-back and high-end variants headed for Switzerland

Alpine will use the Geneva motor show to unveil two new A110 variants: a high-end Legende, and a stripped-back Pure.

Both models are powered by the same mid-mounted 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine as the regular car, making 185kW and 320Nm. Power is put to the road through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, for a 4.5-second sprint to 100km/h.

Much like the BMW M3 with the same name, the Pure (white) is designed to be the "lightest and most driver-focused" take on the breed. Beyond that, the company hasn't provided any more information – that'll have to wait until Geneva, unfortunately.

In the Legende, the standard seats have been swapped for six-way adjustable Sabelt seats, trimmed in leather. There's gloss carbon-fibre trim on the dashboard, too. More details will be announced in Geneva.

Along with the two new trim levels, the A110 will be offered in three new exterior colours from 2018 onwards: Blanc Irise, Blue Abysse and Gris Tonnerre.

Stay tuned for more from the Geneva motor show, where CarAdvice will be on the ground covering all the action.
