2018 Mazda 3 pricing and specs

More kit, drive-away deals for popular hatch and sedan

Australian pricing and specifications for the upgraded 2018 Mazda 3 range have been announced this week, with extra equipment and sharp drive-away deals on offer for lower-grade versions of the popular hatch and sedan.

Headlining the changes is a host of extra equipment for the lower Neo, Maxx and Touring grades, with the former two now renamed Neo Sport and Maxx Sport.

The entry-level Neo Sport gets the most substantial upgrade, (finally) gaining the 7.0-inch MZD Connect infotainment system with DAB+ digital radio, a rear-view camera and two additional speakers – now six in total.

New equipment for the Maxx Sport trim level includes automatic wipers and headlights, dual-zone climate control and an electric parking brake. And, finally, the Touring gains keyless entry for the new year.

The wider range otherwise remains unchanged, with the sportier SP25 models staying constant in terms of equipment.

"By improving and adding features as standard across the range, the Mazda 3 becomes an even more appealing and desirable package for our customers," said Vinesh Bhindi, managing director for Mazda Australia.

The updated Mazda 3 range is on sale now, starting from $21,490 drive-away for the Neo Sport manual.
