2018 Audi A6 teased – Video

New video previews upcoming E-Class rival

The new-generation Audi A6 has been teased on an online video this week, ahead of a likely debut at the Geneva motor show next month.

A firm reveal date is yet to be detailed, but it appears Audi is preparing its new large car for the public very shortly – perhaps as soon as the Geneva motor show, commencing late next week.

We've published plenty of spy images of the new A6, which will once again be offered in both sedan and 'Avant' wagon body styles globally.

Expect the E-Class and 5 Series rival to be brimming with technology, namely the semi-autonomous systems that debuted in the related A7 Sportback, and an exterior design echoing that of the larger A8 limousine.

In terms of powertrains, the A6 is likely to be offered with a range of four- and six-cylinder turbocharged petrol and diesel engines already found across the wider Audi portfolio, along with a twin-turbo V8 performance hero in the eventual S6 and/or RS6 performance heroes.

The V6 versions are also likely to feature a 48V mild-hybrid system to improve efficiency and provide a performance boost over short periods.
