Mercedes-Benz GLB spied
Boxy crossover shows off production headlights
The upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLB has been spied during cold-weather testing, giving us a closer look at its production light signature.
Unlike the hatchback-style GLA, the GLB will take on a more practical, boxy shape that's reminiscent of the old GLK – the predecessor to the GLC.
The new crossover is believed to be underpinned by the same platform as the new A-Class family.
Going by its larger, boxier aesthetic, the GLB will likely focus more on interior practicality than its GLA cousin, giving Mercedes-Benz a more suitable competitor to rivals like the BMW X1, Mini Countryman, and the next-generation Audi Q3.
We're still yet to see images of the interior, but our guess is the new MBUX infotainment system that debuted with the new-generation A-Class will feature in the GLB, as it slowly rolls out across the wider Mercedes-Benz range.
A reveal date is yet to be confirmed, though it's believed the GLB will make its debut either late this year or early next. Click the photos tab for more images.
