Ferrari dealers coming to Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne

Prancing Horse is increasing its footprint

Ferrari Australia will increase its dealer network by 50 per cent this year, with the announcement of dealers in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

Perhaps most notable is the Southport, Gold Coast dealer, which will seeks to service the fastest-growing, most popular area for the brand. Sanctuary Cove is the hottest Australian postcode for new Ferraris, apparently.

The new Gold Coast dealer opens mid-2018, allowing the existing Brisbane dealership to focus its efforts north of Brisbane according to Ferrari Australasia CEO, Herbert Appleroth.

Along with the Gold Coast dealership, we'll see Ferrari-focused showrooms on Sydney’s North Shore and in the Melbourne CBD.

The expansion sees the brand's dealer count in Australia and New Zealand jump from six to nine. Ferrari's new Melbourne showroom will be managed by Zagame, while McCarrolls Automotive will manage Sydney.

Ferrari new-car sales are at an all-time high in Australia, with the Queensland market leading the charge. Its pre-owned business has tripled in the last five years, and continues to grow thanks to impressive resale values.

The average age of Ferrari owners has dropped to 48, down by four years. The expansion of the dealer network should see the supercar brand expand its reach further – although the Ferrari has never lacked demand. Whether sales volumes will increase in accordance with the new showrooms.

Ferrari will expand its extended warranty system to a massive twenty years, including fixed priced servicing. It will also launch its financial services, which Appleroth believes will help those looking for a pre-owned Ferrari.
