VIDEO: 2019 Volvo V60 teased, full reveal on Feb 21

Another slinky Scandinavian load-lugger is on the way

Volvo has teased its latest load-lugging wagon, the V60, in a video highlighting its long history of creating practical family cars.

The brand says it's "continuing a legacy of estates for a new generation" with the V60, tugging on the heart strings with snippets of children learning to drive, couples falling in love and families on road trips in a smorgasbord of classic Volvo wagons.

Details about the car are predictably hard to come by in the video, but we now know the car will be launched on February 21 in an 'Interactive Live Reveal' on Facebook.

We know the front-end will run with a similar Thor's Hammer look to the XC90 and XC60 SUVs, while leaked photos have revealed a sportier, slinkier take on the the V90 wagon for the car's profile.

Based on the XC60 lineup, the V60 will likely be offered with two diesel powertrains, – the 140kW/400Nm D4 and 173kW/480Nm twin-turbo D5.

There are also two 'regular' petrol offerings in the XC60 range – the 187kW/350Nm T5 and 235kW/400Nm T6, sitting below the hybrid T8 twin-engine with 300kW and 640Nm.
