2019 Suzuki Vitara spied

Upgraded crossover hits the snow

The face-lifted Suzuki Vitara has been spied on the snowy roads of Sweden this week, ahead of an anticipated reveal later this year.

It's still hard to tell just how different the  crossover will look from the current model, though the front and rear treatments should get minor revisions based on the black-and-white camouflage.

We also spy a radar sensor in the lower front bumper, likely to be used for the vehicle's new autonomous emergency braking and adaptive cruise control systems – technologies debuted on the new-generation Swift light hatch.

Expect revised bumpers and new lights to round out the cosmetic upgrades, and some minor changes to the interior.

We're not sure if there will be new engines with the new Vitara range, though the Swift's 82kW/160Nm 1.0-litre turbo three-cylinder could be a good replacement for the Vitara's current 86kW/156Nm 1.6-litre base petrol engine.
