McLaren Special Operations (MSO) has detailed a new range of options for the Sports Series range – including the 540C, 570S and 570GT – giving customers even more customisation choices when they purchase their new supercar.
Headlining additions include a new Black Pack option, a lighter and louder Titanium SuperSports exhaust system, and extended carbon-fibre trim elements.
Buyers of the 570S and 570GT coupes can now opt for the Black Pack, which swaps out the standard Dark Palladium grey finishes on the front splitter, front aero blades, side skirts, air intakes, door inserts, rear diffuser, rear spoiler and rear bumper for a stealthier black finish.
The 570S also gets a waist finisher, and the rear deck and service cover finished in black, while an additional black exhaust finisher option complements the dark-themed option set.
Next is the Titanium SuperSports Exhaust – available for the 570S coupe and convertible along with the 570GT – which is 5kg lighter than the standard system thanks to the extensive use of titanium, as the name suggests.
It offers a “cleaner, crisper exhaust tone” than the standard system, too, peaking at 5dB louder above 5000rpm.
Finally, there’s new MSO Defined Extended Carbon Fibre Sill Covers for all Sports Series models, meaning the 540C, 570S and 570GT can be specified with McLaren-branded satin-finish carbon-fibre extended sill cover for the tub carpet.
In addition to the aforementioned vehicle options, buyers are now offered the choice of new MSO Defined keys, painted in black or McLaren Orange.
Pricing for Australia is yet to be confirmed, though the titanium exhaust upgrade is listed at £4750 ($8402) in the UK. Stay tuned for an update with those details.
