2019 Mercedes-AMG A35 sedan snapped
Not too hot, not too cold
The upcoming Mercedes-AMG A35 sedan has been spied in Europe, providing a peek at what the warm (but not quite hot) A-Class will look like when it lands later this year.
Compared to the standard sedan, this test mule rides lower, and has a more prominent spoiler package.
Down back there are fat exhaust pipes to help the four-cylinder engine breathe more freely, and cross-drilled brake rotors lurk behind those (rather ugly) test wheels.
Under the bonnet, expect to see a hybrid-boosted 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with similar outputs to that in the E-Class coupe and convertible, where it makes 224kW and 400Nm – 10kW of which is courtesy of a 48V mild-hybrid boost system.
Expect to see the car facing off against the Audi S3 sedan when it arrives, along with the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe.
