Peugeot, Citroen introduce five-year warranty

New program to give customers peace of mind

Peugeot and Citroen Australia (PCA) has announced it will introduce a five-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty with five years of roadside assistance across its passenger car range.

Effective immediately, the French company's program will also be retroactively applied to all 2018 model-year vehicles already sold, and completely transferable between owners.

"From design to engineering and manufacture, efforts at all levels of the business have focused on quality, durability and reliability – and this new five-year warranty underscores our confidence in the new-generation of Peugeot and Citroën product," said Anouk Poelmann, managing director for Peugeot and Citroen Australia.

"Peugeot and Citroën are some of the oldest and most storied marques in Australia and we at PCA and Groupe PSA are determined to make the next chapter one full of confidence and growth."

The program has been dubbed 'Peugeot Prestige' for the Peugeot brand, while the naming of the Citroen equivalent is yet to be announced.

PCA's announcement comes after Citroen canned its six-year factory warranty last year when its distributor rights were moved over from Sime Darby to Inchcape.

Meanwhile, Peugeot recently offered a promotional seven-year warranty with its tennis-themed Avantage Editions range – celebrating Australia's summer of tennis with the Australian Open tournament and the French brand's partnership with the ATP men's tennis association.

This new warranty does not apply to the Peugeot and Citroen commercial ranges, however, which soldier on with a standard three-year/100,000km warranty.
