2018 Porsche Macan facelift spied

The updated Porsche Macan has been spied once more during testing in northern Europe, almost a year since prototypes of the facelift were last seen on public roads.

Externally, the updates seem to be relatively minor. Up front, the vehicles in this convoy feature two updated and slightly different front bumper designs: one variant features combined driving and indicator lights, while another utilises two thinner units on each side.

There should also be changes to the Macan's headlamp graphics, although with headlights operating at full blast it's hard to see what changes have been made.

At the rear, the prototypes sport a lightly updated bumper design. There are also a set of false body panels on the tailgate, and disguises for the tail-lights.

It's unknown what other changes Porsche has in store for the Macan. Upgraded safety equipment and infotainment systems, and tweaks to the interior seem to be likely. The sports car brand could also revise some of the crossover's drivetrain options too.

Last year, Porsche sold 2478 Macans in Australia, accounting for 55 per cent of all Porsches sold down under. The Macan was easily the most popular Porsche, eclipsing the Cayenne (1111), 911 (431), 718 Cayman (221), 718 Boxster (132), and Panamera (111).
